Everything you need to make banners for can be bought via Iago. The basics that you need are an empty banner, some dye and a loom. The color of the dye that you get is random. The loom is basically the crafting station. You can add patterns to banners by adding the banner and dye.

If you'd like to add more patterns you can buy a random pattern (and hope for the best) Use Google to find some idea's for nice banners and you're all set.
